I am looking to dive the St. Lawrence regularly on the weekends and a few weekdays this summer. Trying to find a relaible charter, buddy, info, etc... Maybe even leasing a pontoon boat for the summer. If anone can point me in the right direction, or have any information I would appreciate it.

try posting in the great lakes sub forum
and theres tons of charters avalabe there assuming your talking about the 1000 islands regon

Check out Hunts Dive Shop. On Rt 12 about 3 miles east of Clayton. 315-686-1070They have a 28' boat that is wide open, handles 6 divers plus crew with plenty of space left over and with twin 200hp motors it gets where you want to go in a hurry. I know. I occasionally Cpt it on the weekends.
Every year I rent a pontoon boat for our dive club and it costs a little over $200/day plus fuel. Going this route doesn't take long before you're talking real money.

I dive out of the Brockville area with Diver's Wearhouse here in Ottawa. We are down every Wednesday and there is a charter of some sort every weekend. Check out their website at www.diverswearhouse.com.

Chivas, thanks, I am aware of Hunt's, but the last time I put a deposit on a charter they booked us with an entire boat of tech diver trainees that were doing deco dives. As you could imagione, I was not happy thinking about waiting for their deco stops, then having to wait for their SI.

Colby, I'll check out Diver's Wearhouse.

Thanks

Do you want someone on the US side or the CA side?

I will only use Bottomtime charters when in CA, on the US side there's Dwight Elliott from Aquarius divers. www.aquariusdivers.net I think! Haven't tried anyone else on the US side yet.

Try deepblueexpedition.com as well checkout www.ontariodiving.com great resourse for St.Lawrence diving as well as a great community.

St.Lawrence water is getting warm. 66F last weekend on the lillie parsons with no thermocline :)
