anyone in Destin area....am planning a trip

undefinedundefinedhi, am new to this site and diving. we are planning a family trip to destin in mid august and want to get in a few dives while there. saw the emeral coast web site and am trying to investigate further. any information would be extremely appreciated on that front. also, what will the water temps and visibility be like at that time of the year?

Emerald Coast is a great dive shop, they have good service, and a nice boat. They usually bring divers to a tug boat called the Ms. Louise, that rests in 60 feet of water, and the Airforce Barge, thats in also in 60 feet of water. These 2 wrecks are the one most commonly visited by Emerald Coast. Another great shop in Destin, is ScubaTech, they also have a nice boat, a good crew, and do some different dives that are also great. Either group you go with you will have a blast.
You could also head north a little bit, to Ponce de Leon and dive Vortex, or Morrison springs, which are ok if the water is too rough out front, and you just want to do some diving, just get to the springs early before the crowds.
