Anyone ever CREW on a Nekton

My son is thinking of doing this next winter. Has anyone here ever crewed for Nekton Cruises or for that matter any other dive cruise? Can you tell me what it is like, working conditions, actual duties, money etc.
He is a golf pro and not a dive pro...yet. They told him he just had to be OW and that he could get all of his other certs on board.

You should do a search on lonely planets forum throntree under diving. I read a few things regarding working for Nekton and getting hired. I didn't read any negative comments except that the staff likes waiting on Americans better then other nationalities because they tip much better

I never crewed for them, but I did apply to a position they had open around this time last year.

They were looking for a multimedia developer/graphic designer to do web design, animation, video editing, and print design for them and a few affiliated companies. Probably paid a hell of a lot more than crewing, with the added benifit that, part of your time would be spent, ..."traveling on location to capture the images you'll be working with!"

Not that this helps, but I saw this thread and was immediately reminded how happy I am rotting away in my cubicle here in NJ.
