New to diving and like to dive maybe too much...if that's possible. Can't always afford to go out on dive charters. I've never been in a spring diving before, don't know if I'd even be interested. I love salt water, sharks and barracuda! Anyone live in the area that goes out quite a bit and is looking for a buddy?

I live in Zepherhills and Im going to Venice This Sat.
Hunting sharks teeth. Your welcome to join me. Should be other people there as well.:) This is a easy shore dive max depth 20 ft.

What time is everyone planning on going? Can I invite some people too? Not to sure about where Venice is...isn't it over the skyway bridge? I'd love to go thanks for the invite!

If anyone wants to join us, we'll be at the end of Alhambra.

Head to Venice on I 75 south. Take exit 193 and head SW (coming from the south that’s a left turn) on Jacaranda. Turn right on Venice Ave. Stay on Venice Ave until after you’ve crossed the bridge to the downtown area. Turn left at the second light after the bridge (Harbor). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra). Park on the street as close to the dead end as possible. Be careful not to block the driveway to the condo.

Here's the derections to where it is. I'll get back with you with a time. Not sure yet. But dress for cold water. The water temp will be in the mid 60s. By the way check the Florida Counch Divers group in the board. You'll always find a dive buddy. I post there often.

Yes I'm still planning on going check your messages.

Those are great directions from the south, but you can save a little time coming from the north. Take exit 200 (SR681) and follow it to US 41 where you'll turn left (south). Take US 41 to Business US 41 (Tamiami Trail) where you turn right. After you cross the bridge, you'll turn right on Venice Ave. Turn left at the first light (Harbor). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra). Park on the street as close to the dead end as possible. Be careful not to block the driveway to the condo.

The thickest wet suit I have is a 3mm and everyone on the other threads are saying that won't be warm enough. You think I should layer 2 3's? I'll have to borrow a friends.

Yesterday the water was 62° F. NOAA is showing it at 65° F right now. You'll need the extra layer and a hood would be an excellent idea as well.

Welcome! My friend (Teresa) and I are going on Sunday to Venice if you want to ride down we can pick you up on 75 by the Brandon Mall.

We live in Lakeland.
