I am going on the Rocio del Mar to Socorro in May 2015 and wanted to ask a question. I know that this is a destination for the big stuff and that is also the reason I am going. I also know that the Revalligigedo Islands are not the place for coral or small critters. But just out of interest, are we likely to see any small stuff at all, just to make a contrast from the sharks and manta rays? I don't mean moray eels and such but real small fish. I have heard of blennies and clarion angelfish as well as possible macro stuff at The Aquarium but can someone give me more information?

Oh, absolutely! We saw a lot of octopus. We saw the Clarion angelfish in various ages. We saw rays (other than manta) and eels. Juvenile fish camouflage in the urchin spines. We saw beautiful peacock flounders. Beautiful cup corals. On one dive, I found a cleaning station with a whole raft of fish showing up for a going-over. It's not the lush coral and schools of anthias kind of diving, but there were plenty of smaller things to keep my camera occupied. HERE's my gallery of photos from the trip.

Thank you very much. That answers my question perfectly.
I was unable to open the link to your Socorro photos, perhaps because I do not have a Facebook account. But I am interested in seeing those pictures. Can you post them as a flickr link or similar?
