Any experience using standard camera ($100-$200) without external flash?

So people spend more money on new housings.

except they didn't even bother to make a housing for the 590 :D

So now instead of me giving them money for a housing that they already produce, had they just used the same layout, the money goes to a third party (Ikelite)

The only problem with the Ike is that it is expensive and if you are like me, you will be continually upgrading,and spending more money on housings gets me evil looks from the treasurer......

I find the key to those looks is responses like

"We may not get to go to _______ again anytime soon. Don't you want to remember the dives?"

"We are spending $XXXX on the trip, this isn't that much."

"I can sell the old equipment." Be prepared to gloss over how much more the new stuff is compared to the sale of old stuff.
