Is there anyone with diving experience in Southern Italy’s Adriatic Sea or Croatia’s Adriatic Sea? I would like to know what it’s like and what’s out there.

From what I’ve read it’s beautiful.

Croatic is meant to be fantastic diving. Its too cold for coral etc but good scenery and lots of good wrecks. Clear water.

Southern Italy i havent heard as many good things about (but Malta just 60 miles from siciliy is fantastic).

It is the mediterranean though so dont expect much fish life - most has been spear fished and dynamited to near extinction.

Thanks String I need all the information I can get>

Your photo album is great! Wreck Vis, is that close to the island Vis?
I’m interested the speed and direction of the currents. When the conditions change by the weather. Is there a web-site where I can find charts that have the water depths throughout the area? If not where could I get that information?
I also need information about Croatia’s laws for an underwater search effort. I understand there are some areas that are off limits. Contact information for a permit to search those areas. Croatia’s import export laws regarding a company bringing in their own equipment for an underwater search, (side scan sonar and various other types of underwater search equipment). Are there any records with the coordinates and identification for the known wreck sites?
I know it seems like a lot of questions but any information you have would be a big help. Thank you so much for responding to my post. I will have a look through the European subforum.
