Any dive sites to avoid in Phuket?

Are there any dive sites in Phuket that are pretty much underwater tourist traps, as a relatively new diver almost anything most is enjoyable for me, but was wondering if anyone went to a site that was just a trap

All the sites that are dived at the moment are nice in their own way. Nothing to worry about.

King Cruiser can get a little crowded if there is more than 2 boats on it but its nothing compared to other destinations around the world.

I once counted 22 (yes twenty two) dive boats above or coming towards SS Thislegorm wreck in the Egyptian Red Sea, whilst on the wreck you had to form lines to get into rooms !

It was a far cry from the first time I saw this wreck on Cousteau's Silent World where he had just discovered the wreck and had it all to himself.

Agree with you there James.

But a responsible operator will not take the op to King Cruiser before having 'assessed' his abilities.
