He was a very close friend of mine. It definitely was medical. This man had thousands of dives and was highly competent.

My wife and I were both very surprised and saddened to hear about this incident. We didn't really know him personally, but often saw him around the Niagara area, and enjoyed the frequent posting of videos and such. He will be greatly missed as a very active local diver.
 
this is so sad was at centeen this morning know very well helen and her charter. RiP for your friend. i will have a moment for him during my next dive next week in centeen.
 
I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was at Centeen Park planning a dive when the boat came in. Emergency personnel were there before the boat and all set up to help, feet away from the transfer location.

I hope it helps bring some comfort to know that it really looked like everyone did everything they possibly could. It was efficient, everyone was working fast, but calm communication and apparent teamwork.
