Hello,

I'm new to this board and have around 110 dives, mostly in cold waters with low visibility and are a CMAS**-diver.

In december I'll travel with my new wife on a cruise and later on to Antigua.
Has anyone been to Antigua for a couple of dives and has recommendations on the dive centers there?

I found ambivalent recommendations on trip advisor.
My search narrowed kind of down to indigo divers which is close to our hotel and Seawolf Diving School, which got very good recommendations on trip advisor.

Although Big John has almost no website, he is also recommended with his dive center.

Have you experience with these or other centers on Antigua?

Thanks,
Thorndowyn.

Dear Diver,

Thank you for your interest in Sea Wolf Diving School. I'm guessing you are certified, but let me know if not as we have many training options

Antigua has some beautiful dive sites, very colourful and lively reefs with the best diving at between 40 and 75 feet. We have found many of our own sites and continually search for new locations. Most sites are a 10 to 15 minute boat ride from our dock, stretching between Rendevoux Bay and Mamora Bay. We can now also offer a deep wreck dive at 100 to 130 feet. My dives are as long as your air permits and we stay out of deco, we average 45min to one hour. We do just one 2 tank trip a day, leaving the dock at 10am and returning approx. 1.30pm.
A two tank dive is US$88.00 and an additional US$20.00 for all equipment. We use high end Sherwood integrated weight BCD's and regulators to ensure the most comfortable diving possible and so it is not necessary to bring along your own equipment (considering baggage allowances!). We supply Nitrox on request and can offer online Nitrox training with Padi. Underwater Dvd's and DPV's are also available.
We close our books on 6 divers per day to ensure customers get the very best dive experience in Antigua. Bryan is a IDC Padi Staff Instructor with 13 years Scuba teaching experience who personally instructs and leads all dives. We have full liability insurance and carry oxygen and a VHF radio on our shaded dive boat. We have a 100% customer satisfaction and safety rating. You will be in the very best hands possible. We do not offer night dives during the yachting season as Falmouth/English Harbour is a very busy waterway and we consider it unsafe for night diving.
We do require a confirmation booking of 20% and your preferred dates. We are located in the English Harbour area near to the historic Nelson's Dockyard and Antigua's best dive sites. Due to time and manpower constraints we can only offer pick ups from the closest resorts. If you are not hiring a car I suggest you get a taxi quote from your hotel and then give us a call as we may be able to get you a better deal with a local driver.
We want guests to have the very best experience of Antigua and so I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

Very best regards,

Tish Cunningham
