Loved it. Trisha and I really miss diving in Guam. Left there in 1993. Out by the end of kilo wharf is a huge red anenome, at least 8 feet across with clowns that are at least 2 lbs.
We are going to Truk in March and tour Truk video has us ready to go.

Fun!

I think it was on Elphinstone, but it might have been on one of the other Red Sea Reefs that we were taken to a spot called "Anemone Cove". For whatever reason, conditions in a small area had clearly been perfect for anemone growth, and they covered the wall in an area about 20 or 30 feet wide and maybe 40 or 50 feet high. We didn't see them anywhere else. It was a very odd and very beautiful thing to see.

I took this on the Shinkoku Maru. They are growing along the oil transfer rigging's at about 75'. Between the bridge and the bow there are over 43 anemones. We counted them last month cause no one every believes us.

For pure photography purposes, the Shinkoku is an outstanding wreck.

Thanks for posting. Brings back some happy memories... Glad to see Sam from the Odyssey still clowning around!
