Well what do you do after the charters are done at NTD, call TEST members and check out a new wreck of course.

In Mid Jun of this year local divers accidently came upon a previous undiscovered scuttled schooner in 30 feet of water located in the Collins Bay area. Upon reaching the locating the wreck aboard the Seaducer, members of TEST decending and did the intial measurements 127 feet long, 24.2 feet wide and with 2 - 7 feet of relief in spots. We counted at least 9 large deadeyes and some other artifacts. Leading us to believe that this was a scuttling and the schooner did not suffer a "waterline burning" like many in the local area.

In the coming weeks we hope to provide some video, stills and a site plan for this new wreck.

Exciting news, Tom!

Please keep us posted. :thumb:

Tom this sounds like a nice wreck to dive. What are the conditions on the wreck. Is the current anything like the "Vickery"?
