Hello to all....(does anybody ever read these things??)
I am new to diving. I took my O.W. & A.O.W. while on vacation in Koh Tao Thailand last Sept. Amazing diving there BTW, and I highly recommend Crystal Dive Resort for the diving staff. (not so much the accommodations though) Good prices, great knowledgable staff.
I just recently returned from Cyprus, where I dive the north side of the island. Mediterranean diving leaves something to be desired, but at least I got wet and kept my self going. Next time I go I will make it a point to go south and dive the Zernobia wreck site, it's supposed to be great.
I am looking to start piecing my gear together so far all I have is mask & fins. With the work I do I have to travel a lot, and while I get great opportunity to go exotic places to dive, I really don't like dive shop loaner gear. Any advice on good quality light weight gear that works well would be greatly appreciated.
My next trip will be to Cabo in less than a month. I am going to take my wife on a try dive, and if she likes it we will schedule a trip for her to get her O.W. & A.O.W. I can't wait, I know she will love it as much as I do, and I need a dive buddy!
I think I love diving because I am an aging adrenalin junky. 12 years military, my hobbies included rock climbing, repelling, sky diving, motorcycle riding, martial arts, etc.....all have one thing in common, extreme adrenalin rush. Diving is peaceful and serene, but the feeling after a dive is just like what I experience with all those others, it's a high no drug can duplicate.
Well for something I don't expect anyone to read (unless they are checking who I am after something I post in the forums) I sure wrote enough. 8^D
