Another Hose Length & Routing Question

I would suggest the 7ft hose with a 45* on it, it fits very close to the body.
Granted, the BC you are using will impact this, as most people suggesting the 7ft are likely diving a BP/W. So, are you?
If so, you'll tuck the excess hose into the waist and this will keep it tidy. I've never had an issue with hose length into a reg bag; it really doesn't take up that much more space.
If the long hose is for your primary reg, you will probably want the 7ft, as I "tuck" about 18inches of the hose into the waist, so loosing the extra 2ft would not allow me to tuck nicely and at that point the long hose sits freely and does not sit along the body (unless you're routing the 5ft not around the back of the head? If so, you'll definitely want the 90*).
The 45* takes the pull out of the mouth, some use a 45, some use a 90.
