Hello, I've been diving on and off for 10 years or so, but finally now live in a place i can be serious about it.
I've been in the process of ditching old second hand gear for stuff that works better for me, and am getting my toes wet in underwater photography too.

Welcome to ScubaBoard.

I'm sure you will enjoy Okinawa, I've heard good things about diving there.

Thanks! Glad to be here

The currents in Oki are pretty noticeable.

That's about the only knock I've found so far.

My first dive here, I looked down into the water and could see the reef at 50' while standing on the deck of the boat. I dont know how I'm going to move back to Seattle

Welcome to ScubaBoard! I got certified out there during a deployment (99’) and it’s still one of the best decisions of my life. Can’t wait for the pics and hope you have a blast!!!!
