This was taken on my favorite anemone. This thing is about 4 feet across. Went out to take some picture of the shrimp on this anemone and found it closed up because of the rough weather. You can see the shrimp in the background.

Hi Rooster
Could you tell me how you put pictures on? I'm trying to put some pictures that I've taken (I scanned them in and actually put them on an online album - ofoto or something like that)
and would like to put them on the board but am unsure how to do it.

Thanks
Sillago

In my test message I loaded a link to a picture of a burrfish - which worked initially but now doesn't seem to.

Hey, Ladydiver, is there a place on scubaboard where we can upload and then link to?
Thanks,
Rick

First, forgive the delay in my response. You have to remember that I’m on Guam, so there is quite a big time difference.
There are two ways to get photos onto this board. You can insert them directly to your post, or you can post them as an attachment. If you want the photo to “show” in your post, like this
fe0ed938.jpg

it has to be available online. That means it must be posted on your web page or some photo hosting service like Imagestation. Note: not all photo hosting services will let you post from their site. Imagestation has just stopped us from posting “full size” photos from their site. That is why I also inserted a link to the full size photo. To insert a photo in the post, like I did above, you use the IMG button just above where you type in the text. A window will pop up; this is where you insert the address to your photo. To make sure it works, hit the preview button before positing.
If you can’t post it this way, you can post it as an attachment. Like this: Check the bottom of this post.

To do it this way, use the attach file window below the text section. This will post a direct link to the photo that is saved to the board. Now that I have thoroughly confused you. You might want to check the F.A.Q. section of this board on how to post photos.

Dive Safe,
Rooster

Thanks Rooster

By the way, I think you can put the full original picture on but it covers the entire screen

Cool photos! Just for info sake, if you try to post the full size photo from imagestation you?ll get this:

When you try to post the original size photo, the address is the same except ?.orig.jpg? is added to the end of the address. This is what I think Imagestation looks for to block it's use. Here?s the photo without the ?.orig.jpg? added:
