Another ear + Sudafed question

Subjectively, this is my practice and not qualified medical advice. Try doing a valsalva maneuver just after entering the water. You may consider adding nasal irrigation (NeilMed sinus rinse) to your pre-dive preparations. I find that it helps settle my sinuses, getting them used to having water go up my nose occasionally. I also take oxymetazoline (Afrin nasal spray) along with me on the dive boat. If my nose becomes stuffy this seems to clear it quickly. Best part is that it is more a topical med which you don't necessarily need to take ahead of time.
