Hey guys, I appreciate anyone who can help me with this. Currently I have 2 Heisser LP 104 tanks. I bought a set of bands for lp 95's and both 95s and 104s have an 8" diameter. I really want 95's as doubles as my 104s are a bit long a very heavy, but I dont have the money to buy a set of 95s.

So my question is I have a 44 lb wing, will that float my double 104s. I believe my 104s doubled will weigh about 140-150 lbs out of the water.

Thanks again

To float DBL 104's your going to need at a minimum a 55# wing + drysuit, I wouldn't recommend it however. The other thing to remember is if you "cave fill" them they are noticibly more negative.

Now add in a can light, reels, other gear and your even more negative, throw on a stage or two, a deco bottle, it adds up really fast. for 104's honostly in the long run you need to look at a MINIMUM of 65# wing when it comes down to it.

Realistic approach will be a super wing or super one wing running about 77# of lift (rated) 77# will float everything you need, 100# is overkill unless your trying to double your bouancy as a lift bag.

Now I'm sure some blowhards will come on here and so oh yea sure 44# thats fine thats all you need or swear that 55# is boarder line too much, don't listen to them, they only need that little bit of lift because they are full of hot air. (hot air rises)

Keep in mind exposure protection, if you dive dry thats that much lift you'll need, if you dive them wet better dive with a double bladder wing and you'll need more lift.
