I'm a Fish!
Can someone provide accurate ID's for these two? Both photographed last weekend in Anilao, Philippines.

This crab was around 2 inches wide and oblong shaped. Very heavily armored. Looked like a rock with two eyes.

This shrimp was found on an anemone.

I think the crab is from Calappidae family, Calappa hepatica or Calappa gallus? I guess the safe call is Calappa sp. :D Not 100% sure on that one with just the one photo since there are a few similar box crabs. Hopefully someone else can help, and do you have another photo from a different angle?

Shrimp looks like Periclimenes brevicarpalis. ID from the five fantail segments, each with an orange spot outlined in black.

Don't know about the crab, but I concur on the shrimp ID by Kupu, nice shot :D
