Hey Guys,

Anybody have any information on the differences between ANDI O2 Compatible Vs Grade E O2 Compatible air? I have been going with ANDI for awhile but asking around it seems most shops go with Grade E specs when air testing. I know ANDI is a higher quality rating but is it really necessary? Is Grade E O2 compatible fine for partial pressure blending Enax fills + tech deep?

Should be modified grade "E" air or better. I don't know the differences with "ANDI O2" vs any other. The Industry standard for blrnding above 40% oxygen

Assuming you mean "modified Grade E Air", there really isn't much difference between the various OCAs - you almost got to think some standards add stuff just to differentiate themselves from everyone else. Most of them specify .1 mg/M3 instead of the 5 that plain old Grade E is allowed, and 2 ppm CO instead of 10 (best I can recall).

BTW there are a number of knowledgeable people who feel that "plain old" Grade E air is perfectly OK for PP mixing and that the main virtue of hyperfilters is to add a backup.

It all comes down to maintenance and diligence to maintain the quality. Things happen for different reason so if you can be part of the solution and not part of the problem, then at least you been diligent.
I agree with the "name game" to make their product stand out when actually it is what the standard dictates when the final analysis is conducted.
I guess it is a creative marketing technique????
