I am not sure if I should be in shock after actually reading this page. Here go diving on a pony bottle, yeah yeah that whole don't go over 30 feet thing will be followed..... This might be nice to clean your pool with, maybe the bottom of your boat.... I bet that trainning on this unit is top notch!!!!!

Can you help a stupid American and translate the metric? How many CF is 3.8 LTR?

USA Today had a piece about this unit May 14, 2004...

There is something much more sad to me about someone being hurt because they are ignorant of the dangers involved.
Still sad when someone knows the dangers and gets hurt but at least they knew more about what they were getting into.

I might be all screwed up here but isn't that like a 15cf or 13 cf tank????

Edit: Removed my own post. Something is messed up with the math.

By the math, 3.8 Liters is about 0.13 CF (about 1 gallon). But then again, a AL80 tank, isn't 80 CF big by it's dimension.

Sort of a thread hijack...

Does an AL80 tank mean that you have 80 CF of Air at a certain temperature and pressure?

Ok I thought I was misplacing a decimal when I first did that.... That can't be right though... Can it? That would make the tank smaller then a spare air.....

3.8l / 200 bar pressure gives about 760 litres of air.

Roughly 15 minutes total air at 30ft assuming normal(ish) rates.

For the metrically challenged thats about 0.134 cubic feet pressurised to 2940 psi.

(very roughly. i hate imperial).

As said, great for cleaning the bottom of a boat or cleaning a pool (and probably better than strapping yourself to an anchor and using a hosepipe to look for keys...) but a no/minimal training unit like this i can see people getting hurt and often.

Nope, 3.8 litres is the WATER CAPACITY. You multiply that by the pressure in bar to get the total number of litres of air it will hold.

In this case, roughly 26 cu ft.

Duh... Thank you string and Uncle Pug, See I knew I should have paid more attention in math class.

I think I would rather take my chances with 4 spare airs given the option to price, and I would be safer with the spare airs as scary as that is.

How can people sell crap like this?
