Are there terrestrial echinoderms? This sea urchin almost became one briefly. I was lucky again to capture some unusual footage near my home in the Philippines. I speculate why never any terrestrial sea urchins evolved. They'd be land urchins, but that's not the reason - it has to do with the echinoderm motor system.

If you spend enough time in or near the ocean, you get to see really curious natural history!

Did you help it Klausi, or leave it to its fate?

Absolutely didn't help either on or off land. However, this was around low tide, so it would have been submerged 30 minutes later.
