Anyone have any experience with Amer-Sea?

The are a company out of Florida that are constructing BC's in competition with Zeagle Rangers.

Any info would be helpful. --Starfish

Starfish: I dive an amer-sea bc. It is very comfortable. I like it.
Their web site tells more about their company etc.
Looks like their factory makes various bc for other brand names too. www.amer-sea.com

I see this thread has not been touched for awhile, but instead of starting a new one, I decided to bring this one back. Has anyone else had experience with this brand of BC? I am interested in the Amer-Guard version which seems to be very very similar to the Zeagle Ranger and almost have the price most "AUTHORIZED" zeagle Dealers sell them for. If you have dived with this BC, could you please tell me what you think? If you have dived this one and the zeagle I would be even more interested in hearing your feelings of one over the other.

Hughco which makes the Amer-Sea bcd has decided to go out of business. I am not sure how long this has been so but very recently. My wife dives a bcd made by them and is quite happy with it. Mike is currently looking for someone to take over the Amer-Sea portion of the business, if that doesn't happen we will be unable to get replacement parts for his bcd's.
