Sandra asked me to post this...She went in to Reef Photo yesterday, with a big issue to her, and one that was very time intensive for Reef Photo....and all they cared about was making certain she had 100% of the help she needed.
Her issue was that the Sea and Sea Housing she uses for her Canon 5d markII has a 45 degree eyepiece that has been great for macro, but with some of the big animal ( goliath Grouper spawning events) dives we have been doing lately, she was HATING the bs 45 degree concept for wide angle..... The guys at reef gave her about 4 options, worked through each one with her in depth, and then the option she like the best, they offered her as a rental for a week, to make sure she liked this choice in actual practice...She now has an adaptor sustem that lets her use the 45 degree eyepiece for macro, but when she goes out to do wide angle, the 45 degree comes off, and a very large diameter straight through ( which also sticks out far enough to allow mask glass to eyepiece contact to be optimal) can be popped right in. They had not done this for her set up before, but thought it was a good solution....they put on the adaptor, then pressure tested the system, and found the solution to be 100% perfect for seal....and then came up with the rent for a week approach....if she likes it, she gets 100% of the rental fee applied to the cost of the new eyepiece....
And of course, they spent at least an extra hour going through every other conceivable question Sandra could come up with, regarding A-Z about her Sea & Sea and the Inon strobes
Reef Photo has a REPUTATION as being the best ....and service like this is why they have it!!!!
Thanks Reef!!!
