Could someone who's been here a while, take a moment and put down all these acronyms I am finding on this site in english for me? I have figured a few of them out like "LDS" and "OOA" . Someone had to explain "DIR" to me. Now I am trying to figure out what "HUB" is. It would be a nice gesture for someone to make a reference list for us newbies to this site.
It might be fun to see all of them that are out there. I am not talking about all the regular internet things like "IMOH" or "BTW" but some more obscure ones might also help.
Maybe we should have a thread for "diving definitions".
Thanks

OOA- Out of Air

LDS- Local Dive Shop

It seem like every day though I see a new acronym on this thing.

HUB is short for "horribly unsafe bc"

OOG = out of gas ( nitrox, heliox ect. )

OOA = out of air

4Q2 = derogatory

Where is the coke alert when I need it? That was funny.

Ok the HUB is a model name for a BC i think made by Mares, not sure if it really stands for anything. It includes everything but the diver and the tank.

Dacor and Mares both make something they call a HUB with the same principle of employing a rat's nest of splitters and hidden hoses to maximize the body count once they start to age.

BTW, I thought HUB meant "horrid underwater burial".

That is what I was talking about though. I'll have to keep that for future reference. Thanks
On the "HUB" issue, I noticed that numerous manufacturers have a "HUB" designed BCD's so I guess that one is "SUITA"
