My original "small-window" Aladin Pro used an ascent rate of 10 meters/33 feet per minute, but the updated algorithm in the "big-window" models and the Air-X, Air-Z etc. had a variable ascent rate model.

If I recall, while deep, the rate was 20 Meters/66 feet per minute, which transitioned to 10/33 at mid depths and then 7 meters/23 feet per minute for the last part of the ascent. Does anyone remember if these figures are correct and further at what depths do the transitions occur. These are not documented in my manuals, but I recall seeing the numbers either in promotional material or on the internet site.

Anyone have an old brochure with this info?

Thanks

Andy

From the manual for the Aladin 2G at http://www.manualslib.com/manual/815725/Uwatec-Aladin-2g.html?page=27#manual

Thanks very much for posting this, Tursiops!

My next question is, the Aladin 2G algorithm is called ZH-L8 ADT MB PMG, whereas the Pro has just a ZH-L8 ADT. Would the changes invoked by those extra suffixes have changed the variable ascent rate schedule?

I suppose it matters little, so long as one simply follows the schedule announced on the computer, but just curious.

the aladin pro manual references both 7 and 20 m/minute ascent rates. it does not indicate at which depth, just that the 7m limit is used near the surface

the aladin air z uses the exact same words...

Yes, that is all my manual says about it.

I suspect the table tursiops posted from the 2g manual may be valid for these others as well, since the basic algorithm is the ZH-L8 ADT. The MB suffix on the 2G is for the 5 different micro-bubble settings and the PGM is for deco gas switching.
