a friend has acquired a second hand Aladdin pro nitrox but can only seem to set 02 in 2% increments? i.e. 32% 34% 36% is this normal? Cheers

normal from what i've seen and also not that big of a deal. Round down in fO2 for decompression settings, round up for MOD.

i.e. if you fill it and it is 33%, you do your MOD calculation based on EAN34, and you tell the computer you are diving EAN32.

When the time to change the battery DIY.
RS component should be able to supply the battery 3.6V Lithium Thionyl Chloride AA size with tag.
Get the oil(Paraffin oil) from Boots.
My Pro Nitrox is 19yrs old and is still my primary computer.

You can still down load the manual on line.
The battery power indicator is very misleading. When it is down to 70% then you have to be careful. There won't be any warning given and the computer simply display Err on the lower right corner......

Or when it comes time to replace the battery there is a shop that for $50 will replace and test and get it back to you in a week. Worth the money for the lack of the mess and the lack of a hassle. PM me if you'd like the details
