Akumal

Merry Christmas everyone!
We are heading down to Akumal in a couple of days and wondering if anyone has been diving in the area recently and if the diving has been good. It's been a few years since we've been there. We will be in a condo on Half Moon Bay and have always dove with Akumal Dive Adventures but they appear to be closed.

Merry Christmas! I was just on a trip in Akumal Dec 8-15 and we stayed across from half moon bay. I was primarily cavern and cave diving but two of my buddies are open water divers and did a couple dives out of Akumal dive shop. They said that the dives were fun although they would book with the other dive shop ( Akumal dive center) if they returned. If your interested in cavern tours I highly recommend protec dive shop tulum. Hope this helps
