Akumal Diving

Hey there

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the dive shops in Akumal, Mexico?
I am heading down there to do my advanced open water and am trying to decide on a dive shop. So far I have been considering Akumal Dive Shop, Dressel Divers and Pro Dive Mexico. If anyone has any input on any of these shops and any other recommendations it would be appreciated.

I have been to Akumal several times. I have used Akumal Dive Center with great satisfaction. For your AOW, I recommend Natalie:

She is great and a very friendly and competent instructor. She works out of Akumal Dive Center. Contact her directly through phone or internet. You will not be disappointed

We did an ocean dive with Akumal Dive Shop in April. I didn't have any complaints. Be prepared to wade your gear and your rig out to the boat.

If I were going to recommend an instructor for an AOW class, I'd recommend Jason Renoux. In addition to an immense amount of experience in open water diving, he is also Full Cave, and he's an extremely nice and fun person.
