Can anyone recommend a private van that will pick up 6 passengers at the Cozumel airport this Thursday, stop at Aldora downtown for approximately 10 minutes and then take us to our final destination at the Presidente?

Normally my husband and I drag our bags off the terminal to catch a cab because it doesn’t make since to pay $17/pp just to go to Aldora then having the added expense of a cab from Aldora to Presidente.

This time is a bit more complicated because we have so many people in our group.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

That’s what I was afraid of. Isn’t the shuttle $17/pp regardless of destination?

If so, that is $102 to get 6 people to Aldora and we still need to catch a cab to Presidente. Can I arrange pickup at 65th?

Probably not, but shouldn`t be hard to catch a cab or two.

Shuttle is 81 pesos per person for Centro, which would include Aldora's dive shop. From there you could get a cab/cabs to Presidente for probably 200 pesos or so.

No, it's zoned. Why do you need to go to Aldora? I've never needed to "check in" in advance with any dive op including Aldora.

You could have the shuttle drop you off at the ferry pier, and from the taxi stand there you can hire a taxi grande to take you, your companions, and all your equipaje to Aldora and then to your hotel.

Go to the Presidente directly, there's no need to stop/checkin at Aldora, you can do it and carry your stuff the day of the dive. Did they asked you to go there a day early?

You can hire a private transfer van at the airport I think. Probably talk him into making the stops and all. Isnt there a price for that on the sign?

A couple of weeks ago, I hired a private transfer van at the same booth where the shuttle tickets are sold. The prices are on the sign. I was told that the cost would be the same as for 10 passengers. Since there were nine of us, it seemed a good deal - no waiting - and could probably have stopped anywhere we wanted for a few extra in tips.
