DPVs are an incredible diving tool when exploring large sites, especially when dragging along multiple tanks or a rebreather. However, they can easily be the bulkiest and heaviest piece of the whole diving kit, making air travel difficult or expensive. While some tech friendly diving location offer DPVs for rent, most remote locations do not offer this option.

What do tech divers do about DPVs when they travel by air to get their diving location?

Anyone have problems when flying with power tool batteries such as the DeWalt 9ah/20v (18v outside of US)?

These are said to be "air safe" if the cap is on.
