has anyone used scuba tanks to create a syphon in order to remove silt - was thinking of a long tube with a LP hose attachment near the nozzle and drip feeding air- as bubbles expand to reach surface with create syphon to vacuum silt up

thanks thats pretty much what im after but have you had any experience re the length of pipe or location of air input ie how close to the input should i put it.

i assume the longer the hose the more air required to lift it?

See post 5 in this thread for a design. I have not used one but know they take a lot of air.
Compressed air dredge?
