Someone has posted a poll about air fill costs in general. I'm curious about air fill costs in Japan. What does everyone pay for tank fills (own tanks - airfill only). Military personnel who get fills on base don't need to tell us (we'd get too jealous!).
I pay 1000 yen a tank in Fukuoka. (that's a good deal here as most shops are 1500 yen here).

That is a good deal...

There are so few "self serve" diving spots up here that practically no-one owns their own tanks. Most tanks are rented at the dive site. I think it runs 12 dollars on up depending on the tank size...

Osezaki is one of the few bring yer own tank sites. Fills run about 1500 yen for 10 liter tanks.

Here in Okinawa(off base):

Tank rental- Y500 to Y1500 on the mainland up to Y3000 in the Keramas

Fills are about the same but only a few places actually fill here since many stores rent tanks on contract from on of the air stores. Yes places that all they do is pump air for scuba tanks- not dive stores.

Yes I saw that. They come round with a truck and just drop tanks off for the boats and pick them up again at the end of the day.
