We were booked at Casa del Mar for our Dec trip and post-Wilma we switched to Hotel Cozumel. We're heading back for a quick trip mid-Feb and booked Casa del Mar. This evening I got an email notifying me that their reopening has now been pushed back from Jan 26 to Feb 15th!

Ideally we wanted a bit more space then just a standard hotel room, and a bit south of town. The cabana rooms at Casa del Mar fit the bill. Anything else similar that I should check out? Or anything in town that would still be easy access to get to the Caletta? (assuming we will still have to meet our boat there)

Thanks!

The superior rooms at Villa Blanca are really big.

Suites Bahia downtown has kitchenettes in all rooms and are pretty spacious.

What about a house rental or condo rental?

Suites Bahia right on the main st at 3rd. Their rooms are very large. No pool but great location. Or Villa Las Anclas is like a town house, Kitchen/eating area and living room on 1st floor, spiral staircase to master bedroom with one kingsize bed and bathroom. Nice little garden area with table and chairs to socialize in the evening. No pool and as of last year when was there no tv. Same owner family as Caribe Blu hotel and they transported us to Caribe Blu if we dove with Blue Angel. $75 a nite and on 5th and Calle 3 south, walking 2 short blocks to Plaza. Realy nice if you want quiet, peacefull, and roomy place. Still easy to walk to downtown pier or cabs to calleta.
We will be at Caribe Blu Feb11-19 and diving with www.bottomtimedivers.net if same dates let me know we can get together for a dinner.

Thanks Christi. I will check out Villablanca. In Dec it looked like it still had alot of work to be done, but if they are up and running I'll see what they've got. I'll look at Bahia too. I tried a couple small houses, but we are only doing 5 days this trip and most rent for the week.

Lou, Villa las Anclas looked awesome and I tried them before Casa del Mar but they were already booked. So was Carib Blu. I think I'll try and stop by both when we're there for future reference.

Maybe Hotel Flamingo? It looked kinda fun and funky on tripadvisor. I hope there's not too much going on at work tomorrow so that I can spend my day getting this trip back together.

Thanks for the suggestions.
