Air Asia Special in June/July for Divers

Air Asia have some special rates for June and July on flights from KL or Johor Bahru to Tawau, Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan. Get it while it's hot! Also allowing 10kg excess baggage for dive gear. They have taken over the Sandakan flights from Malaysia Airlines. Also note that Malaysia Airlines schedule on flights in this area will change as from August. One of the most important (for us) is the earliest flight from KK to Tawau is now at 7am, not 6am. All resorts for diving at Sipadan will pick up guests from this flight for transfer to Semporna and on to your resort.

Actually, I wasn't thrilled with the fare they offered because I've flown to Tawau on AirAsia on much cheaper fare (they didn't have "diver's special" back then). Anyway, the baggage allowance is all good.

Nice to know that the dive operators are adjusting the time of pick-up accordingly due to change of flight time. Surely it helps a lot to divers.
