A 21-year old female (cutie) breaks up with her boy friend Monday night.
She takes his new Mustang and heads for, where else but Fernan Lake to drown herself and the car.
How many times have we heard about that lake this year?
She is on the cell phone with him so we know where shes at and all of us are running to head her off.
We had two dive cars on. One was close but I was 18 miles away, but it was all freeway. Every other available unit from county, city and state rolled towards the lake.
Units put up a roadblock while a couple of units go to the far end of the lake to see if she had gotten by, she didnt.
It took me less than 10 minutes to get there and just as Im slowing down, to get off the freeway two units intercept her. She was just one block from the roadblock and a ¼ mile from the lake.
She goes to the hospital again on an involuntary mental and he got the car back.
You might be asking yourself, Why all the commotion for a call like this?
She has a good solid history of suicide attempts. With two of them she did drive a vehicle into the lake but obviously she survived them.
Hopefully the state will keep her for a while this time. She is just the cutest petite little gal. To bad her head isnt screwed on very tight.
