afternoon/night dive Jan 1

I'm arriving in Cozumel around noon on Jan 1, spending a few days diving with Roberta's Eco-Dive Cozumel. But....they're not going out on the 1st in the afternoon or evening. Anybody know of a quality dive op that's working that day? I'd like to do something that day. A night dive might be perfect.

Dive Paradise is about the only shop running on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

I would just write that day off and enjoy it touring the island or hanging out on the beach!

I have been out with DWM on Christmas day last year not sure about Jan1. Christi is right most dive ops give their employees the day off there were not many boats out and we had a late pickup so they could spend sometime with their families. I was a great dive though went up to San Juan and watched the eagle rays surfing in the current.

My wife and I will be in Coz Jan. 1st to the 8th. We'll be at Scuba Club Cozumel and will probably do some tune up shore diving off their dock. Cheers.

Ran into the same problem on Jan 1. We wanted to dive in the morning, and have since decided not to dive. One op we do like and has an afternoon dive plannned was Deep Blue. Drop Matt an email, perhaps they have an opening left.

Thanks, I'll do it. Depending on the time, I may end up just shore diving at La Ceiba that day, but I'll send Deep Blue an email.

Got it, think that I found an operator that will take us out on Jan 1. Check out

They´ll take us out on Jan 1st and depending on intrest do a two or three tank dive. Contact them with questions and suggestions. Let them know if you are interested so they can make plans.

I just got off the phone with Pancho from DWM (tough to think about diving when it was 16 degrees outside yesterday in NYC)-- I believe that they're going out on New Year's Day if there's enough interest.
