Hi,

I bought an atmos elite a few months back. I've used it on 10 dives. Each time, the signal was constantly lost. I figured out that if I lower my arm anywhere below my chest, I lose the signal. So e.g. if I put my arms against my body so that my wrist is near my waist, I have no signal. I have to raise my wrist almost up to my ear to get the signal back.

Has anyone else had this problem? I just replaced the battery and hooked it up to a tank. In air, the new battery gave me another foot of reception, but didn't seem to fix the problem.

I just sent the unit back to aeris. I'll reply when I get my unit back.

Any other hoseless users out there experience this? Should I be losing the signal when my wrist is near my waist? THANKS!

That's not right... Mine doesn't do that... I never get cut out no matter where I put my hands... Did you get it with a full warranty?? If you were here - I'd attack that by giving you a different receiver and transmitter, then we can trouble shoot out which is causing the problem... Try a dive with your wrist unit, and a new transmitter, and vice versa. That might have been a little faster than sending the whole thing back... but they should get you set up.

I have the sister computer - the VT Pro and have not had any loss of signal. In fact on a small boat, it works all over the boat.

Larry,

Went out this morning and dove with the Aeris Elite I purchased last week. Don't know if you remember, but I'm from the Austin area and bought all my gear last week. By the way, thanks for the great deals. Anyway, I had constant signal loss. The only way I could get the signal to come back was to hold my wrist right next to the transmitter. I was down with a large group of dive students, and while they were going through their skills, I was sitting there checking out all my gear and getting familiar with it all since it is all new. But no matter where I held my arms, I would lose signal. Please tell me this is not normal and that something can be done.

Keith
