I'm a Fish!
HI Im thinking about purchasing an aeris atmos xt. Im just curious if anyone has any feedback thanks

I've had one for a couple of years now and have loved it - very comfortable and was a huge improvement on the previous jacket design I had. However, I must confess that I have now transitioned to a Halcyon BP/W system which I love even more. I use the BP/W in the ocean and my Atmos Aeris XT has become my pool BC for when I'm doing classes (just to save the wing from the chlorine - not really necessary, but this gear's expensive!), or is used by my girlfriend when we go diving together.

If you are looking for a new BC I would seriously consider including a BP/W in your research... If it ends up not being for you, then I stand by my recommendation of the Aeris.

Happy hunting!

I have one and have been very happy with it. It is primarily back inflation, but also has two small side panels that inflate as well - no squeeze as with a traditional "jacket" style. It is very basic. There is one pocket that can be moved to the left or right side of the waist band (or removed all together). To me this is not a drawback. There is alslo a small zippered pocket in the front of the cumberbun (sp?). "D" rings are metal - two large ones on the shoulder straps and two smaller ones along the botttom of the waist. The removable weight pockets are very secure - combination of velcro and large clip. The sternum strap can be re-located or removed all together.

I agree with the comments mentioned by hawkwood. A second packet can be purchased and easily added by the diver. It is attached with 2 screws through holes provided in the cumberbund.

I have owned one for two years now and have been very happy with it. It is well built and it fits great. May I suggest you also purchase the Aeris airsource oct for it. Together they are a winning combination.

I have one as well, it's the red one.

The difference between them is just the colour.
The blue one is the current one from 2006 (now discontinued) and the red one
must be the 2005 model. They are both identical technically.
I took the red one because it was red which is my favourite colour :).

The 2004 one is also red but does not have 'Atmos XT' written on the shoulder strap and has a different kind of back cushion. (picture of that one can be found at LeisurePro)

Take your pick.

Hope that helps.

I have Had mine for some time as well and love it I ordered thru Divers-Supply in a package it was a great deal. :D
