My research is done and I’m ready to buy my first BP/W. This is my first BC period. Please look it over and let me know what you think. I was certified AOW 1 month ago. My needs for now are simply to rec dive but want to get into wreck and cave diving in the future. I live in SoCal where the water is in the 60’s but will dive in Hawaii, Asia…

Here is what I have figured on getting. Feedback is much appreciated.

OMS - SS Back Plate with Comfort Harness
Oxycheq - #45 Single Tank Wing
Dive Rite – Weight pockets

TIA!!!

Thanx, I'll check on the STA

Though I fear I'm sounding the DIR horn ... No, not me!

The continuous webbing solution actually works out really nicely. I dove the OMS setup and found that I prefer the simplicity of continuous webbing...

No Problem with the sounding of the horn. :dazzler1:

I'm on the fence on this issue. Leaning towards a comfort harness for now. I find myself resisting a 100% DIR appreciate to diving at this time. I have consider and adopted a few DIR approaches to diving.

Echo the sentiment on one piece of webbing. It's simple, dirt cheap and darn comfortable. I don't know what OMS charges for a "comfort harness" but I doubt it can be that much more comfy. And I know 12 feet of replacement webbing will run you less than $10.
