active topics

When I select active topics for the last 2 to 5 days the furthest back I get is 6am my time today.
How come?
It used to work but hasn't for a year or more, I really miss it.
I see this has been asked and there was no response. Is this a no-no question?

There's a limit to the maximum number of results (500) that any search can produce.
