On the night of the 17th of June, 51 days (8 weeks) ago, I had a drunken fall in a ditch. I landed on my *** as well as my left palm. My left forearm took a lot of weight of the fall and thereafter was sore.

Two days later, my friend arrived and we did a series of 20 dives in the following 10 days. Deepest dive was around 36 metres, but not a decompression dive. All dives were done with safety stops and also no rapid ascends were done in any dives.

On one day, we did two "deep" dives, 30 metres and 28 metres respectively. Then the following day we went on a wreck safari where in the second dive, the computer was screaming it's head off as I had gone into deco time! Did the required safety stop and felt absolutely fine, and have done ever since.

The arm still aches, and last night, I felt some tingling in my fingers, which is what has got the alarm bells ringing. A few days ago whilst the arm was aching, I massaged it to get a feel for where or what....and it felt like it may be on the bone. I've since read that joint pain related to DCI can feel like it's on the bone, and so am worried about whether I've given myself a Decompression related injury.

I called the local reco chamber and am visiting the doc there tomorrow.

I wanted to share this with the scubaboard dive community and if anyone has any thoughts, I welcome your comments.

Thanks

Pain from DCS will not persist that long. You are suffering - almost assuredly -from the results of a bad fall.
Ouch.:(

Yup, that's what Dive Doc said. My reason for suspecting DCS related was that DCS can affect injured muscle/ tissue more than healthy parts.
Just have to rest it, anti-inflamatories and heat therapy.
Good to know I'm not bent!
