A friend was out on the Beachhopper -- dive boat out of Monterey -- today, and said:

"We got called by Silver Prince asking us to pick up their divers they left at lovers as Prince had a diver accident. By the time we found where the divers were they had swum to shore."

"Anyone know what happened to the diver and their condition? EMS took them to the hospital."

Thanks,

Bill

is it common for the boats to be out at lovers? i have seem them out there once on a day where the conditions were rough, but this weekend was pretty decent. honestly, i would kind of be annoyed if i paid to do 2 dives on a boat and one was at a site that can be shore dived.

*Relative to the number of boat/dive trips,* it's not like it is a frequent occurrence to get a request for Boat B to pick up Boat A's stranded divers bc an individual on Boat A needs to be rushed ashore. Personally I would quite simply be grateful the boat I was on (boat B) was close enough to assist so Boat A could focus on getting the diver with the issue to shore as quickly as possible and not worry over divers still in the water.

Just my perspective. Hope the diver is ok!
