Hey everyone! I got some good news today. I was accepted to Coastal Carolina University for a Marine Biology major! I'ev always wanted to go to this school and want to get as high as PhD level in Marine Biology/Conservation. How does this relate to Basic Scuba Discussions.....marine biology. :) It's happy news so I thought I would share it. :out:

Congratulations!

My uncle was a marine biologist and he's the reason I'm a diver. When we were studying at teh same university he pushed me to get certified so he could have a buddy on his midnight excursions.... I've laid shivering on the bottom in the dark watching the elusive mating rituals of all kinds of crawly things thanks to him. Maybe your dive buddies will get so lucky too. :) :)

He says that marine biology is the last vestige of "pure white thought" left in academia. Maybe it's pride. Maybe it's arrogance and maybe it's the truth. It's bound to be a fun ride. Enjoy!

congads. It will be a lot of work but quite rewarding.

Way to go.
I went diving a couple weeks ago with some marine biologist
in Barbados. Our goal was to find and tag turtles. Good dive.
It was interesting to watch what they did when we got one.
