I'm in the market for a BP/Wings setup, and the Abyss backplate is attractive to me because it has the integrated STA... no need for an STA! That way I can do warm lake diving with only the 6lb plate... you can always add weight.

Question is... is anybody diving this plate? Opinions? If you could even post a picture of the rear track and how it fits a single tank I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I dive an abyss backplate but use a STA with it. I find it keeps the tank more secure and definitly keeps the rig together when switchings tanks. I like the plate but if I did it again I would buy a fredt or koplin instead (cheaper, better and less filing needed)
