After almost a month of participating on this board and not getting thrown out yet, I figured it's about time I introduce myself.
My introduction to diving was when my lifeguard Instructor pointed to a tank with double hose regulator standing in the corner of the pool and said, "want to try it?" I did and found nothing luring at the time, not until 1975. Since I have been diving and have been very active in many aspects of sport diving and dive safety, as I still am now. I watched the sport, the industry, equipment and divers change, sometimes for the better, sometimes with my tongue in cheeck. My posts and responses sometimes reveal that attitude. I love the sport and I have a passion for introducing divers to the underwater realm with an approach, "The ocean is our big friend, it embraces us, it gives us life and allows us to play in it and with its magnificent creatures. But don't bend its rules because the ocean can become ruthless".
I will try to contribute as I will also learn, since if one knows everything the only place to go is down. Just as I tell my Instructors when I hand them the credentials, "from this point on if you stop learning, today you are the best you will ever be".

Devilfish,
Welcome to the boards, from a fellow "Jerseyian"(?)
Maybe it's geographic,-or "age"-I was first certified in "74- but I, too, was registered for about a month before I Intro'd myself.
You already know this is a great place so, continue the fun.
Good luck,
MikeD

Glad to finally have you officially aboard. I look forward to reading your post.
