I'd never heard of her, but I just saw on the news that she's 'alive and well'.

That boat is designed to be able to get rolled like that. Unfortunately, when that happens, you lose the mast and you are then adrift.
16 yrs old. Alone. Open Ocean. real smart folks her parents are. Once they are over 18 and stupid it's on them. But until then stupid is mom and dad's area as well. Guess I 'm just too old fashioned or care about my kids too much. Records are for shiite if a kid dies trying to get it.
