Looks really nice. I sure wish Canon would bring back the RAW file option on its P&S cameras though.

I was really excited about the a700 for a surface camera and entry level UW camera (especially after seeing caloy's pics with an a95), but the only housing I was able to find for it was an ikelight which made it too big for what I want. I as then considering the a540, but now Canon does this to me!! Fantastic. They add IS, another MP and a housing right off the bat! I'm almost afraid to find out how much it's going to cost (I'm a poor grad student in Chile and am looking for somthing ~$500 for the whole setup).

I guess after christmas the prices should come down though. Bleh decisions decisioins...

Randini, why not consider an A620 in the Canon WP-DC90 housing, that's about $450 in total...

I don't think the new A640 in the Canon housing would cost much over $500 if you're looking to get the new model..

Thanks for the tips. I saw the 620, but I was won over by the bigger screen on the 540 & 700. Also I'm afraid I'd break the rotating screen on the 600's. Now I'm into the 710 mostly for the image stabilization that they added to it. I just noticed the MSRP of the 710 is listed as $400, so hopfully by the time I have some cash to get the camera I can find it w/ housing for around $500. I am by no means decided on anything yet, and since I need to save up the money I am still sifting though options. I'm sure by the time I have the money (which is still a couple of months away), there will be several other new ones worth considering as well.
