A70

Okay, so I've given up on trying to find a WP case for my SD200. My girlfriend has a Canon A70 and I was wondering if anyone has any experience on using this camera underwater? I know it works very good as a point and shoot camera at surface. I just don't want to end up buying the WP case if it turns out this camera isn't decent underwater. Appreciate any help that can be given.

BTW I'm just using this recreationaly so bear that in mind.

Do a search for A70 and you'll find quite a few answers.

I used to use one until it got stolen and now have the A75. LukeRob had the A70. You can go to the galleries and look under our user names to see some results. I think PhotoTJ also uses this one - at least another in the A series.

I can't say enough about this little setup and will probably add at least one more to our collection this month. Fabulous.

I had one..well still do I just upgrade it to an A95..but, the A70 is a great little camera..worth getting the housing for it.

I had done the search on the A70 before posting and nothing had come up. That's why I decided to post.

I was looking through your gallery and those are some very nice pictures. Were most of those taken with the A70 or are they all mixed together?

Either way looks like I'll be picking the WP case up.

Hmmm, I wonder why nothing is coming up...

Anywho...yes, they are all mixed together. I have tried to note which ones are A70 or A75 (after my A70 was stolen) in the keywords or description below each photo.

All of LukeRobs are with that camera, though he also has add-on lenses.

I am still using the A-80, thinking about moving up to an A95. I think the A series gives you the most camera for your $$.

I've been using the little A70 for almost a year now (about 100 dives) and I love it. It shoots pretty good pics right out of the box and you can dial in the white balance to make it even better. The internal flash seems to do a good job (for an internal) and the Canon housing has held up ok.
