A620 and E18 error

Got my A620 for Xmas and already have the dread E18 error. Found some info on the web about the error and also some on how to fix the problem (lens error). None of it worked for me so its going back to Canon tomorrow.

Sadly it is my 3rd digital camera and I had liked it the most. Got the underwater housing so I really need to stay with this camera.

Hopfully it will get returned promtly.

Anyone else have any experience?

I had seen some of the post at DPReview but unfortunately it was after the error had shown its ugly head. But thanks just the same.

Camera is on its way to Canon.
